Budget - Where Does All The Money Go?

Paying for a wedding can be a very scary thing!  Planning ahead can help take some of the surprise out wedding expenses.

Our Budget Worksheet gives you a head start.  You can modify it to meet your needs.

There are several different factors that determine the cost of the wedding:  how many guests you want, your theme, your location, if you want an open bar, live music verses a DJ, paper plates verses china, etc.  You need to figure out what is most important to you and prioritize your plans accordingly.

  Who Pays for What?
What used to be a very straightforward process is now one of the most confusing parts of having a wedding.  Due to larger scale weddings, different family relationships, and different family roles, things are a bit more confusing.  Many couples today pay for the entire wedding themselves.  Bride, groom, and parents need to talk about the wedding ahead of time to get a realistic plan for the budget.  Two of the biggest factors you will need to consider are:  how much money you can spend and how many people you want to come.  Plug these two numbers in to our Budget Worksheet and start to get an idea of where you want the money to go.
